iFD guarantees the optimal planning and implementation of WMS projects
In an era of increasing digitalisation of work and business processes, staff development and knowledge sharing are of particular importance to iFD GmbH. For this reason, the Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering qualification was undertaken through the International Requirements Engineering Board.
The vision is to create an internationally recognised and professional foundation for requirements engineering. Against this backdrop, the IREB has established the Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) certification scheme.
The control and management of requirements in warehouse management projects and service provision is the most important interface between the customer and their IT service provider.
Requirements engineering is the first and most important step in any system development and is largely responsible for the success of the WMS project. This process must be carried out by all parties involved in a methodologically sound and transparent manner. The more consistently requirements engineering is implemented at the start of the project, the lower the risk of costly and time-consuming missteps.
Requirements engineering is an excellent complement to ITIL-based process management – particularly in process service design, where the requirements for IT services are defined.
However, requirements engineering methods are also applied in the demand management stage of service strategy, in the service transition phase, in the operations phase and, of course, in continuous improvement.
With this improved process control, every WMS project can respond flexibly and professionally to all logistical requirements. The iFD-WMS also features an integrated new warehouse control system that delivers the highest level of stock transparency. Proactive and targeted monitoring of critical processes enables the immediate identification and elimination of weak points.
