A change of leadership at iFD GmbH

On 1 January 2025, Mr Adrian Klöpfer will officially take up the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at iFD GmbH. He has been working at the company since October 2024 to ensure a smooth handover and to familiarise himself with internal processes. With his extensive experience and broad industry knowledge, Mr Klöpfer will strengthen the management of iFD GmbH in a targeted manner and provide new impetus.

Diverse experience and professional expertise

Mr Klöpfer brings with him extensive experience from various sectors of the economy. Most recently, he spent four years at DAMBACH Lagersysteme GmbH & Co. KG, where, as Head of Automation Solutions, he was involved in strategic growth projects. Prior to this, he gained management experience in the maritime industry at a Hamburg-based shipping company and began his professional career in the banking sector. Through these diverse roles, he has acquired in-depth knowledge of logistics, business administration and financial management – skills which he will now bring to iFD GmbH.

Mr Klöpfer completed his degree in Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He is also a CFA Charterholder, a globally recognised qualification specialising in financial markets and investment strategies.

New impetus for iFD GmbH

As CFO, Mr Klöpfer will play a decisive role in the strategic development of iFD GmbH. His main responsibilities include:

• Finance & Controlling: Planning, management and optimisation of financial performance, as well as long-term financial strategy.
• Project management: Monitoring, management and efficiency improvements in client projects.
• IT & Security: Further development of the digital infrastructure, automation of business processes and optimisation of internal IT structures.
• Facility Management: Organisation and optimisation of infrastructural and technical operational processes.
• Corporate Development: Development and implementation of strategic initiatives for the further development of the company and the promotion of innovation.

Farewell to Dr Jürgen Erkmann: An important chapter comes to an end

At the turn of the year, Dr Jürgen Erkmann is stepping down from his position as Managing Director of iFD GmbH after more than three decades. Since the company’s foundation, he has had a decisive influence on iFD and, through his commitment, foresight and expertise, has successfully guided it through many phases of growth.

Dr Erkmann initiated the handover to Mr Klöpfer at an early stage to ensure a smooth transition. His leadership skills, in-depth knowledge and tireless dedication have left a lasting mark on the company. He will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity and will head the Corporate Development department, whilst handing over operational management to new leadership.

Mr Klöpfer will not only enrich the management team at iFD GmbH, but will also act as the central point of contact for the teams at iFD and DAMBACH, as well as for business partners and customers. His strategic mindset, analytical skills and innovative strength will further drive the long-term development of the company.
