Schnellecke Logistics Saxony modernises its logistics operations with iFD

Schnellecke Modernisierung

Schnellecke Logistics Sachsen GmbH has been part of iFD’s client base since 1999. At its site in Glauchau, the client operates an 11-aisle automated small parts warehouse with a large pre-zone and automatic KLT loading. Schnellecke’s logistics team supplies the Volkswagen plant in Mosel with modules and assemblies in the correct sequence.

Andreas Gottwald, logistics planner at Schnellecke’s Glauchau site, reports: “Material flow control and warehouse management for an 11-aisle automated small parts warehouse: we have been working successfully with iFD for 20 years. During this time, we have been able to continuously optimise and further develop our MFCS. iFD reliably identifies our logistical challenges and offers practical solutions for them.”

At the start of 2022, the foundations for the future partnership were laid and iFD was commissioned to upgrade the material flow software.

This comprehensive modernisation brings the material flow control system, with integrated warehouse management, up to the latest technical standards. Intelligent transport handling, excellent user-friendliness and intuitive menu navigation are just some of the benefits the new system offers. The integrated system visualisation, which can be displayed in all standard browsers, saves Schnellecke the investment in additional software.

A proven migration process allows for short test phases at weekends without disrupting live operations. This guarantees a seamless transition from the old application to the new system – without any interruption to operations.
