Audi – one of the most successful manufacturers of premium cars – completed a project to build a new small parts warehouse in Kösching, near Ingolstadt, by the middle of this year. This project was managed by Actemium ASAS as the main contractor, which commissioned iFD in May 2021 to develop the material flow control system for this facility.

In light of sustained strong growth and to ensure long-term development opportunities, the existing e-commerce warehouse of the interior design and furniture retailer Zurbrüggen Wohn-Zentrum GmbH in North Rhine-Westphalia is to be expanded, and operational processes are to be optimised and made more transparent with the help of the iFD Warehouse Management System (WMS).

iFD GmbH has secured a new contract for a material flow control system from a leading global logistics service provider. The logistics service provider is planning to build a new logistics centre. The automated system will comprise, amongst other things, container conveyor technology in the goods-in, picking and packing areas, an automatic KLT warehouse operated by storage robots, and a shuttle system with multi-buffers.

On 19 April, iFD GmbH took part in Career Day in Mittweida and successfully presented the company and career opportunities in the field of software development.

According to the organisers, LogiMAT 2023 attracted a total of 62,343 trade visitors, marking the highest attendance figures in the exhibition’s history. This is also consistent with our own experiences and impressions this year. Never before have we had so many meetings and interesting discussions with potential new customers as we did at this exhibition.

igus GmbH, a leading manufacturer of low-wear, high-performance polymers for motion applications, has commissioned iFD GmbH to modernise the material flow control system at its automated warehouse in Cologne.

The International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management will take place once again in Stuttgart from 25 to 27 April 2023, and IFD GmbH will be exhibiting there again this year.

One of North America’s largest trade fairs for material flow, logistics and supply chain management will take place from 20 to 23 March 2023. As a renowned software partner for the entire intralogistics sector, iFD GmbH will also be in attendance at this year’s PROMAT in Chicago.

iFD GmbH has secured a new WMS client in Lower Saxony. Schmettau & Fuchs GmbH supplies engines and vehicle wear parts. The aim is to optimise intralogistics using the agile and highly available iFD WMS and an AutoStore integration.

The boom in the electric vehicle sector is nothing new in Germany. Rising fuel prices and the tense situation surrounding oil availability are causing demand to skyrocket once again.

Schnellecke Logistics Sachsen GmbH has been part of iFD’s customer base since 1999. At its site in Glauchau, the customer operates an 11-aisle automated small parts warehouse with a large pre-zone and automatic KLT loading. Schnellecke’s logistics team supplies the Volkswagen plant in Mosel with modules and assemblies in the correct sequence.
