Daiichi Sankyo Europe Limited
Migration of the existing iFD material flow control software (MFCS) at the Pfaffenhofen site to the latest version, including the renewal of the visualisation and the integration of driverless transport systems (AGVs) for further optimisation of internal logistics processes.
The iFD software controls the pallet conveyor technology for production supply and disposal from the existing automatic high-bay warehouse (HRL), including the control of the storage and retrieval machines (SRMs). The optimised transport control system ensures efficient coordination of pallet and container transport by taking into account the utilisation of transport resources and the availability of end and intermediate destinations in real time.
In addition, the control of internal transport orders has been improved to avoid bottlenecks and ensure a smooth flow of materials between the HRL and the production lines. The integration of AGV data into the system ensures seamless communication and optimises the availability of driverless transport vehicles.
What our customers say
We use iFD's Warehouse Pilot within our logistics system landscape to control and graphically visualise material flows. The system has impressed our users with its user-friendly handling and modern, web-based user interface. In IT, we particularly appreciate the open programming and database interface, which enables deep integration of the product into other Industry 4.0 projects. Despite a challenging environment, the Warehouse Pilot project with iFD was implemented very successfully and we look forward to continuing our collaboration.
